Overview:

While the Axis forces slowly fell back towards Messina, the Big Red One kept up the pressure through the difficult terrain of central Sicily. The opposing Italians were fighting on native soil now, but their leadership hadn’t improved. As Gruppo Schreiber prepared for a combined-arms counterattack into Alimena, elements of the 26th Regimental Combat Team moved in ahead of them.

2024-06-19(D) Paolo Cariolato vs Federico Corso Italian winFederico got too greedy in its initial move, sent two CX squads too near my italians and left only 2 HS to control the 3hex building on his right. I proptly conterattacked withthe AC freezing the CX squad and not less then 9 italian squad getting near the exposed americans, he voluntary routed but his time was broken and I was able to take the big building. He was not able to take it back.
i think that this scenario definitely favours the americans.

2013-08-07(D) Martí Cabré vs Jesus Pie American winThe Americans have huge firepower and better vehicles. I quickly occupied the stone locations and slowly gave way trying to buy time, but the last two turns I had horrendous dice rolls (including a notorious four 6,6 in a row rallying units) and all my defense crumbled into dust. At the end there was no Italian unit in the map.

A well-played game by Marti, that holds bravely until the turn 6, when a horrible string of rolls (three 6.6 at the RPh and one more at the PFPh, that breaks the gun of his remaining AG) lead to the Italian collapse. A good game and a good scenario.
