Overview:

The 3rd Battalion had been given the task of pushing onto Kakazu Ridge by advancing through the series of stream beds that lay in front of the hill. The Japanese had placed some defenses in the approaches to the ridge, covering this route with mines and fire from several 320mm spigot mortars.

2023-04-28(A) Ireneusz Peschke vs Adam W American winWe played three times. The first two attempts to attack obviously ended in defeat for the attackers. Bore Sighting MGs, mines caused huge casualties. Forget a simple assault. Only in the third game did the Americans find a way to win. Avoiding combat, slowly searching for a pass and a weak point. Lots of Searching, Climbing and the Americans reached Level 1. The Japanese had to come out of the caves and were shot like ducks.
A very interesting scenario, but also very challenging. It took us more time to check the rules than the game itself. But with a partner we had this amazing feeling of being in Okinawa....
