Overview:

After advancing to the top of the smaller of the two summits along Kakazu Ridge, L Company developed a bit of a problem. It was sitting in the open above a Japanese underground complex specially prepared for just such a situation. Murderous artillery and small arms fire erupted around the suddenly isolated men. Led by First Lieutenant Willard Mitchell -- nicknamed the "Hoss" -- they were now fighting for their lives.
Attacker: American (L Company, 3rd Battalion, 383rd Regiment/C Company, 1st Battalion, 383rd Regiment)

2024-04-23(D) Camille Garek vs Florian YVIS American winThea is a small "valley" between G11 and G12/H12.

2020-04-25(A) Vic Lauterbach vs JM American winDice gave me the GIs. This one was tough on the isolated and outnumbered GIs but it proved to be the most interesting and fun of the KR scenarios we've played so far. Keep G11 handy. I'm sure we misplayed some cave complex movement but we gave the Defenders the benefit of the doubt so they popped up all over. Made it very tense and very close.
2017-10-18(A) A Fifteen vs Tycho Granville Japanese win
2015-10-03(A) Michael Rodgers vs Jim Mackay American winMy Americans did a lot of close up shooting into caves that were set up in the VC hexes. Jim kept replacing the cave losses with units from the complex. He also sent out some to do CC against the adjacent Americans, so the Americans took casualties too. The Japanese MMG and HMG were on the other peak to cover the VC hexes, but their shooting was mostly ineffective. We had a lot of rule book diving. I used my Climb counters for the first time ever, because I wanted to climb to place DC on the caves from above. Eventually, he Americans were in the VC hexes in numbers too great for the Japanese to remove.
