Overview:

Operation GOODWOOD had begun on 18 July. The Royal Ulster Rifles Regiment was ordered to "attack and hold the area of Touffreville, Sannerville, Banneville-La-Campagne, Manneville, Cuverville, Le Quai, and Troarn." Led by the 2nd Battalion, the Royal Ulster Rifles advanced down the Troam Road. This area was held by elements of Infanterie-Division 346, a static division with a large number of Osttruppen in its ranks, and largely equipped with captured Soviet and French equipment.

2025-06-05(A) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best German win1 hrsInteresting scenario...but very typical of Starter Kit. He who gets the rolls when shooting wins. My British 9-2 failed to do diddly to the Germans and the Germans were smacking me around. Dan broke his ARTY guns 5 times. Despite that the final Close Combat was the British 9-2 vs. a Gun crew and the 8-1 and 4-5-8 against the German 7-0 who had the other gun. The 7-0 died and that gun was destroyed. But my 9-2 failed to take out the crew and the Germans had the win.
