Overview:

The breaking dawn on the 12th saw both sides slamming artillery barrages into the grainfields around Prokhorovka. Like two tides of steel and flesh rushing towards each other, the 5th Guards Tank Army and II SS Panzer Corps collided just south of the town itself. As an aerial battle raged overhead, the SS tankers stopped to engage the Russians at optimal range while the SS Panzergrenadiers dismounted and prepared their own tools of carnage. The stage was set, the cast was ready for the final battle. . . . . . . . .Scenario 3/3 of Broadway to Prokhorovka campaign (page 60 of Journal 3). Both sides chooses their OBs from available groups. The unit list below lists everything available, but the players only get to use about half of them.

2025-01-05(A) manzoli andrea vs Savo Barbero German (SS) win
2024-08-04(A) Vic Lauterbach vs JM German (SS) winI drew the Soviets in this big meeting engagement. The first 1.5 turns were all movement. All heck broke loose in Soviet GT2. It was smash mouth East Front action from then on! Despite losing six tanks, I thought things were under control after 4 turns. My OBA, a 9-1 directed LMOR in 4I5 and a 9-2 directed HMG in 4O6L1 stopped Jim's infantry and my T-34s were hunting Tigers. It swung Jim's way in the next two turns. Costly 76L duds (on an exiting SPW and a Tiger rear AF shot) and losing both SU-152s (to 105 H9 and 88L AP) cost me 5 exit VP and opened up board 44. Jim poured it on and snatched victory from the jaws of defeat! Jim: The Panzers won this with good shooting. Tiger G with the 9-1 leader never missed. After a 9-1 and two MMCs slipped off the east edge of board 4, my infantry got hammered, but when his tanks were gone, Vic couldn't block board 44. We agreed the BPSSR 4 didn't apply to a T-34 recalled for a Casualty MC, so it exited the map. This one is fun but favors the Soviets. My luck held, but a few broken Panzer MAs, and its game over for the SS.
