Overview:

The Americans had erred in landing so far one away from their objective, Munda Airfield; now they faced a grueling campaign against dug-in Japanese forces. The 37th ID was in place to fight alongside the 34th ID as part of XIV Corps, but before XIV Corps launched its main offensive towards Munda on July 28, 37th ID commander General Robert Beightler wanted to erase a salient that developed between two of the divisions' regimentswhere the Japanese were dug in on Horseshoe Hill. Captain Gardner Wing's E Company, 2nd Battalion, 145th Infantrry was chosen to lead the limited attack following a brief artillery bombardment. E Company, followed by F Company, reached an intermediate ridge in front of Horseshoe Hill, now was the time to attack.

2023-07-10(A) Ireneusz Peschke vs Adam W American winWe played it twice. We think it's unbalanced and heavily randomised, but very historical.
2014-03-12(A) Davide Bendazzi vs Daniel Takai American winNice "defend the hill" scenario in the PTO
