Overview:

After the swift capture of the town of Victoria and the island’s two airfields, the remaining Japanese had been compressed into an area of rugged ridges and broken ground surrounded on three sides by mangrove swamps. For four days the area was pounded by field guns, mortars, air strikes and even the 8-inch guns of the HMS Shropshire. By June 20, patrols were penetrating deep into the area, and the final assault was planned for June21. The Japanese had other plans, and during the night a raiding party crept through the swamps and into the supply elements in Victoria harbor, causing havoc. At dawn the situation stabilized, and a two company attack pressed ahead, this time supported by a terrifying new weapon, “Frogs” Matildas mounting flamethrowers.

2024-08-11(D) Rob MacGinley vs Ian Willey Japanese winA bug hunt with a difference - tanks to clear the way followed up by infantry to find those bunkers
Ian made an early error that led to a short playing of only half way
His Tank were too close to swamp - he forgot those rules
thus his infantry were chopped down with little tank support and he called it early due to not enough resorces left to do the bug hunt
