Overview:

In the early morning hours of the 19th, the Wielkopolska Cavalry Brigade moved to occupy the village of Sierakow. Approaching the village the Poles found it had already been taken by the elements of the German 1st Light Division. A sharp fight began. The Poles took their objective with no casualties. An artillery barrage soon fell on the Poles, signaling the inevitable German counterattack. Soon the tanks of Major Kurt Thomas’ 65th Panzer Brigade rolled toward Sierakow. Around Sierakow, the 14th and 17th Uhlan Regiments prepared for the Germans. Lt. Roman Orlik sited his reconnaissance armored platoon so they were concealed from German observation. Orlik could see the panzers approaching across a plain bordered by woods. Two German vehicles were firing on the Uhlans. His tankettes moved out, closing on the panzers who were distracted.

2024-07-20(D) Jobbo Fett vs RootinPutin German winA lack of any effect on target by multiple Guns and squads meant that the Germans had some relatively uncontested gains early on. Couple this with losing two squads almost immediately, various SW/Guns breaking, and my artillery never getting contact (and subsequently malfunctioning - and subsequently having the leader break) meant that I could never really offer a defense against the Germans. They had some really good rolls, and if it wasn't for some atrocious rolling on my part, it would've still been close. Probably worthwhile to give the Polish the balance - and make great use of your boresighting!

2013-06-25(D) Andy Beaton vs Ted Wilcox German winI needed to not lose 2 close combats at the end, and I lost one. Very tense and exciting game with lots of tin can action.
