Overview:

The landscape south and west of Borodino was covered with snow by first light on 15 October, but the skies were clear. The 32rd Rifle Division was holding its ground against the German onslaught, when some fresh elements of the 86th Schützen Regiment were pushed forward, supported by several tanks from the 7th Panzer Division. They were tasked to break through the Russian lines. The Russian commander threw several support units into the battle, including a regiment of 76mm Guns and a newly arrived flamethrower company.
Attacker: German (86th Schützen Regiment and 7th Panzer Regiment, 10th Panzer Division)

2024-10-13(A) Vic Lauterbach vs JM German winI got the attacking Germans and sent my attack at Jim's right flank. My objective was to take building 32C1 and make it a firebase to cover a rush to the 38EE7 woods. I sent one 467 to the frozen stream to check if any [?] there were real Russians. I got both Panzers and three squads with two leaders to the VC road by GT4. The trick was staying unbroken! The fire from my kill stack in 32C1 did the trick and I rushed squads past the VC road for a solid win. Jim: Vic's fire and SMOKE was very effective early, and I was down 10 CVP in three turns. I broke some attacking squads, but I couldn't get the double breaks needed to reduce or kill MMC. My 8-1 and HS going berserk and rushing to their deaths didn't help! The reinforcing AEs had to break all or kill all the Germans east of the VC road (and help the 76L kill the Panzers). I got the Panzers but not the squads. By turn 6, I had two GO 628s left and that's how it ended. Vic had 7 squads east of the VC road and 20 VP to my 13. It's a good scenario that challenges both players.
2024-03-23(A) Paolo Cariolato vs Alberto Fugazza German winAlberto defended up front with too many forces. with the help of my AFV at the end of my 3rd turn my germans had captured 6 squad of prisoners. Nice scenario but a real puzzle for the defender.
2023-11-07(A) David Garvin vs George Kalaxilos D German winPoor George. The plan was good, but the dice betrayed him. On turn two, his Gun malfunctioned, allowing my tanks to roam free into his rear and keep his reinforcements at bay.
2023-01-20(D) John Garlic vs Steffen Knippel Russian win[Imported from ROAR]
2021-05-24(A) Grant Linneberg vs Bruno Javanabal Russian winGerman lost his PzkwIV early, taking with it his best smoke. This was balanced by the Russian breaking his ART piece twice. But some killer rof by the Russian light mortars stopped the Germans from having enough left to get the job done.
