The US 120th Infantry Regiment's first objective was Hill 32, and the initial advance progressed relatively calmly, with the leading platoons meeting little, or no resistance. Then as the 120th approached the forward slope of Hill 32, the German resistance stiffened considerably...

2013-09-27(A) Chris Brackney vs Kermit Mullins American winThis was a fun one! Came down to the last 1/2 turn to see if the Germans could knock off a few of my VC. Close American win.
2011-10-29(A) Fred Ingram vs Jeff Coleman American winWOW - a battle of the OBA. We goofed up turn 2 for the German, he rolled a 12 and then a 6 on his radio rolls (an off board observer does not have to toll for the radio) so We gave him an forgiven red card draw to compensate - and he needed to use it. The American radio crapped out at the end game (malfunctioning) just when they needed smoke to cover the move onto the hill.

On turn 3 hsi siG tried to reposition and ended up bogging with the rear towards the American, so a Sherman casually rolle dup next movement phase to put it out of it's misery. No Germans around to help it with PF.

Luckily at then end the rolls went the American way - or this would have been a decisive German win. I had 19 VP on the hill at game end. If he would have knocked out the last Sherman, he would have won. As it was , he brought a CE PzMkIV around to try & kill it - and a pinned squad rolled a 3 forcing a MC of the crew which rolled a 12 (SHOCKED). The other PzMkIV rolled up adjacent from the front and was hit with another 3 (turret hit) and that was it for the German tanks. I initially had 30 points on the hill, and he got rid of 11 of them - just needed that last Sherman to have it tip in his favor.

I really liked this scenario.
