SOLITAIRE ASL - Wiking Division moved back to the Mius with some difficulty. The Soviets were not willing to wait and managed to get across the frozen Mius near Russkoje and at the Slovak held sector around Golodajevka. Steiner scrambled a Kampfgruppe from parts of his Engineer Battalion, 15th Company of Nordland Regiment and some Wehrmacht Panzers.
