Overview:

The famous II Battalion of Major Roman, 269 Infanterie Regiment was pushing southward in order to seize Sitno and Tigoda. Leading the Battalion was the assault platoon of 1st Lt. Jaime Galina Gamilla. At 12h00 exactly he received the order to assault the Soviet position, which was lying several hundred yards ahead of his deployed men, who would have to cover all this distance nearly in open ground and without shelter to protect themselves against accurate enemy machine gun fire. Upon receiving the order from the runner of Major Roman, Galiana calmly replied: “Tell him we will fulfill that order. You can go.” Galiana suddenly stood up with a corporal and rushed forward shouting, “Arriba Espana, Adelante!”, firing his pistol and throwing hand grenades. His platoon followed up on the spot, while Galiana was wiping out the first Russian machine gun nest.

The Spanish Hero was shot dead on Turn 4, but Dan would create another Hero that took the boys on it for a crushing defeat of the Russians and the capture of 5 full squads and all three bunkers.

2017-09-16(A) Martí Cabré vs Oscar Oliver Russian winOscar did a good defensive setup. I advanced with half squads to locate the HIP units and they managed to keep breaking my units and escape. By turn 4 I had reached the little hill and had to attack two pillboxes but then a HIP squad broke my kill stack and I conceded. I think that with a good defense it's quite tough for the Spanish.
