Overview:
The Seventh Army was formnig the jaws of a mammoth nutcracker. The coal, steel, and 100,000 men of the German Army remaining in the Saar-Palatinate area was the nut. The 10th Armored Division "Tiger", southeast of Trier, constituted the cracker's fulcrum and was given the task of making the unenviable frontal assault eastward. The 80th and 94th Infantry Divisions breached the forward German defenses so that the Tiger Division's CCA and CCB spearheads could exploit the breakthrough. Task Force Cherry ran headlong into Leutnant Kaspar Göggerle’s Kompanie 3, Schwere Panzerjäger Abteilung 653, supporting elements of SS Panzergrenadier Division 17. Göggerle and Abteilung 653’s Jagdtigers gave the 10th Armored Division a bloody nose it would not soon forget. - - - - This tourna-max scenario has lots of combined arms, heavy metal action with Sherman tanks taking on 4 Jadgtigers in a scenario with plenty of movement, tactical choices and re-playabilityAttacker: American (Elements Task Force Cherry, 10th Armored Division)
