2022-05-25(D) nathan wegener vs James Treu Commonwealth winLast scenario in the campaign. Captured the village and got nearly to the edge of the level 3 hill on 3 sides under the cover of darkness. The dawn brought the arrival of the tanks which were quickly decimated by the Stukas. Despite this the Kiwi's had plenty of time to take all 3 VC.
2012-02-02(A) Fred Ingram vs Jeff Coleman German winSuch a huge game - kind of hard to remember all of it for an AAR. Jeff was able to fulfill the victory conditions for the gun pits and buildings. I was able to hold him off the hill (although he was able to roll up 5 of the 18 level 3 hill hexes required) Would definitely lay this again as either side, although the time committment is long - it pays off
2012-02-02(D) Jeff Coleman vs Fred Ingram German win
2009-08-08(D) Mark Drake vs Bryan Vieages German winPlayed this as multi-player game at old Heat of Battle con around 2009. Used cove of night to get Maori troops into CC against Germans in the village but last group of FJ managed to stall the NZ attack.
Flanking CW troops and Cretan irregulares made for the airfield but were too late arriving before German glider reinforcements came in. CW units assaulting Hill 107 used Spotted fire to good effect with the 3" mortar to grind forward but the combination of Elite Germans with MG's and superior leadership,dug in on the hill,backed by air support,bought the CW attacks to a halt. Result was German victory. Still a very challenging and exciting scenario to play.
