Overview:

Leutnant Von Renesse was ordered to reconnoiter the area east of Radekhov to determine the Soviet intentions. Von Renesse moved out with five PzIIIs, one of which had a non-operational 37mm main gun. No far from Radekhov, Von Renesse’s platoon soon encountered four Soviet tanks that were not listed on German vehicle recognition charts. Von Renesse’s gunner fired a 50mm armor piercing round that ricocheted off one of the lead Soviet tanks. An engagement began on one of the first contacts with the Russians' new T-34 tanks.
Attacker: German (Zug 2, Kompanie 5, Bataillon 1, Panzer Regiment 15, Panzer Division 11)

2025-01-01(D) Dan Best vs Kermit Mullins Russian win0.75 hrs
2025-01-01(A) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best Russian win0.75 hrsOk...this is one of those scenarios that isn't easy to grok on the first playing. It's a screwy scenario to begin with the color SSR's that try to force the historical narrative. In our game, I recalled the MALF'd tank on a repair roll and managed to exit the 9-1 MKIIII 50 and another MKIII 50. My other two tanks were knocked out for a Russian win. At no point in this game, was I enjoying it or felt like I had a chance. The Russians easily....easily cover the hexes needed for the Germans to touch before they can exit the game. My guns never got hits, which is the only way to make the Russians take the silly TC to see if they leave the game. The German player is forced to to engage the Russian tanks, because they have to touch the specific hexes which will be covered by the T-34's. If you are the Germans in this one...well sucks to be you.
2012-02-11(A) David Ramsey vs Martin Barker Russian winStill don't understand this scenario as the Germans. Dicey stuff but only takes an hour..
