Overview:

The 4th Panzer Division was attacking south from Hannut to seize the village of Crehan. A renewed German assault was launched between Crehan and Hannut after a strong artillery preparation. A French artillery preparation was followed by the counter-attack of one Somua S35 tank squadron of Captain de Beaufort’s 2e Regiment de Cuirassiers. The S35 Somua tanks systemically destroyed every German tank, while shrugging off dozens of hits from the panzers’ main guns.
Attacker: German (Panzergruppe Eberbach, Panzer Regiment 35, Panzer Division 4)
Defender: French (2e Régiment de Cuirassiers, 11e Régiment de Dragoons Portés, 3e Division Légère Mécanique)

2021-06-14(D) Stefan Fiedler vs Jonas Nykvist French winHandy win for French. German play solid but overextended tanks, which probably should be kept back and do hit and run on infantry.

2015-08-13(D) Ian Morris vs Gerard Burton French win
2015-03-28(D) Richard Jenulis vs Richard King German win
2014-10-10(D) Gordon Jupp vs Vincent Maresca French winASLOK 2014. Interesting scenario with both sides rushing for objective hexes on both sides in the middle - the Germans should get there first and the French have to drive them off. In our game the French OBA was pretty effective in keeping the Germans off of one side where Vincent had concentrated the bulk of his force. The combination of the strong French armour and infantry pushing on was too much for the Germans (although they did take one S35 in CC!) and once I got a tank into the German rear area it was game up.
