Overview:

The site chosen for the British Rhine assault was Wesel, a major communication and road-net center. To support the initial river assault, two Airborne Divisions of the First Allied Airborne Army were to be dropped. The British 6th Airborne’s objective would be two bridges which crossed the Issel River at Hamminkeln. Capturing these would prevent German forces from counterattacking the bridgehead. The U.S. 17th Airborne, making its first airdrop, was to protect the assault’s southern flank.

2015-11-15(A) Gordon Jupp vs Nick Holmshaw American & British winA great game and worth a replay! The US paras got hit hard on the drop but rallied sufficiently to take the bridge, and one of the AA guns which let the gliders have a clear run in and the Brits strength was too much and cleared the village with the German reinforcements struggling to get involved.
2013-09-16(A) Richard Carter vs Lee Thornton American & British winok on my second playing I was able to pull it off. I think my experience paid off. It is hard to figure out at first sight. Had a lot of good rolls that helped me. But in the end it is a long game so luck is less of a factor.
2013-05-13(A) Richard Carter vs Davide Bendazzi German winWhat a scenario! Lot's of action and variability. Both paratroopers and gliders in this one. It is hard to summarize but it seems that action should center around the bridge, but given VC's that hamlet on bd 43 is also crucial. Just wasn't able to finally oust the germans from the key hexes.
2013-05-13(D) Davide Bendazzi vs Richard Carter German win
2011-11-04(A) Richard Jenulis vs Bill Owen German win
