Overview:

The race to be the first to enter Rome was on. Equally urgent was the German race to evacuate the Eternal City. Hitler's order of an open city was not extended to the approaches to Rome where small groups of Fallschirmjagers, landsers, and panzers were cobbled together in an attempt to slow the Allied advance long enough to allow the Germans in Rome to evacuate northward. Even today, it is hard to determine exactly which Allied unit was the first to enter Rome, but one such claim goes to elements of Task Force Howze, comprised of a company of the 88th Division's reconnaissance battalion and the 1st Special Service Force.
Attacker: American (TF Howze and 1st Special Services Force)
Defender: German (Infanterie-Division 362 and Fallschirmjager-Division 4)

2017-09-16(A) Daniel Takai vs Steve American winFantastic scenario, one of the best I ever played. Very tough on the US, I think. Very grateful for Steve to flunk almost every MC.
2017-09-03(A) Jeff B vs John Fedoriw German winThis scenario should come with a sticker: WARNING: the following should only be attempted by expert combined arms attackers. Even then I think the Americans would have an extremely rough go. As has been mentioned previously, the Americans are pretty much forced to send a good part of their force foraging ahead north. This is obviously a risky venture with the AT weapons at the Germans' disposal. Though if I were defending I would simply hide as many guns as I could in remote corners and run the crews over to the road on the last turn. I'm never a fan of clearing "all" of anything, and if you throw in this bug hunting aspect I personally think it makes for a broken scenario.
2016-08-10(A) Tom Kearney vs Al Saltzman German winGreat scenario!
2015-02-22(A) Jesus Pie vs Don Holland American winA great game, as usual when Don is the opponent. We played whit the G2 balance, and that is, perhaps, too much for the Germans. The American has to press and use all his toys to cross every board on three turns or less, or he’s really out of schedule. Anyway, the game was decided at the last turn, when a HT BFF the last Ostwind, that were covering the exit hexes, roll 1.1, stunned them, and open the way to the rest of my troops.
2014-09-14(A) Richard Carter vs Kevin Klausmeyer German winAs has been said. Very fun scenario. I actually feel it was one of the most fun I've played from the pack, but there is a learning curve on it for the US. You have to go for multiple boards at once. I took too many losses on the first board. By then end I was close but only got a few units off. Also a lone German AT gun w/ crew was left on the road net I tried to clear.
