Overview:

Day after day of seemingly endless forest. Constant shelling had turned most of the trees to shattered hulks. Advances were truly measured in yards as each step forward increased the threat of yet another sniper or hidden Spandau. Then, near the road from Richelskaul to Raffelsbrand, the GIs saw treeless sky. Without any command given, the US forces surged forward to take the high ground.

The Germans had a chance as they rolled two 2s in the last Rally Phase creating a berserk unit, but the 9-2 was able to gun them down. A close game with lots of back and forth.

2024-11-13(D) Mark Thompson vs Carl Nogueira (American) German winThe Germans took a big risk in placing the AT Gun up front in J4, but it survived the American kill stack shot in the first PfPh and then wreaked havoc on the American attack in combination with an LMG placed in K5. Unfortunately, the DRs heavily skewed the game in the German's favor. Nonetheless, a lone 666 did reach a VC hex in the last American Player Turn, only to break under a 8+2 PfPh shot in the last German Player Turn. A good scenario and sound tactics on both sides marred by the dicebot.
