Overview:

Two American platoons, Lt. Logan Weston's Intelligence and Recon platoon and Lt. Warren Smith's rifle platoon of the 3rd Battalion, had been left in place to block the trails leading east to Auche, thus covering the withdrawal of "Merrill's Marauders". On the morning of the 26th, the regimental headquarters and a battalion of the Japanese 114th Infantry Regiment, some 800 jungle-wise troops, moving to outflank the roadblock, struck the two platoons.

2018-08-25(A) Scott Sherer vs Ron Kyle American winI pushed hard as the Japanese, being very aggressive and willing to take casualties in order to try to surround the Americans and break them or eliminate them in CC. A close game, but I was only able to exit 6 VP and then the Americans were able to respond with 6 of their own in the bottom of the last turn. Much more fun than the last playing of this scenario...still think the Japanese need to push real hard to even remotely have a chance.
2017-01-25(D) Scott Sherer vs Bill Mitchell American winSeems very hard on the Japanese as they have alot of ground to cover. I think that they have to push hard, take risks early and not be afraid to take casualties/step-reduce. US needs to block paths and keep trying to keep your force intact as long as possible.
2016-10-07(D) Fred Schwarz vs Will Willow American win
2016-10-07(A) Will Willow vs Fred Schwarz American winASLOK
2015-06-13(D) Jeff B vs David Huguet Queralto American winA true fighting withdrawal scenario. Though the word "fight" is used loosely here. With the restrictiveness of dense jungle terrain, all the Americans really need do is control the paths and block movement. And, unless they get really unlucky in CC, there simply should not be enough time for the Japanese.
