Overview:
Operation Charnwood: The Regina Rifles reached and attacked the Abbey of Ardenne. They did not know it was the command post of the SS-Panzer-Grenadier Regiment 25 and that Standartenfuhrer Kurt “Panzer” Meyer had come himself to direct the defense. He now commanded the 12th SS-Panzer Division “Hitlerjugend” as well. As the Reginas and First Hussars closed in, it became obvious that the only way they were going to dislodge the enemy was to pry them out, one by one and position by position.Attacker: Canadian (Regina Rifles Regiment supported by First Canadian Hussars)
