Overview:
While enroute to staging positions with the 5th SS Wiking Division, Leon Degrelle and his men are asked to assist in locating a captured German patrol. The patrol was believed captured by Russian Partisans who operated aggressively in heavily wooded region between Vitebsk and Nevel. Degrelle assembled elements of the 2nd Company of the 28th SS Reconaissance Battalion and reserve elements of the 11th Luftwaffe Field Division. His plan was simple, the separate elements would drive to opposite edges of the suspected forest hideout and work towards the middle in search of the unfortunate German patrol. The woodland assault was expected to be completed before lunch. Unbeknownst to Degrelle, the woods were teeming with partisans gathering for an assault on nearby German airfields.Attacker: German (2nd Company, 28th SS Recon Battalion and 11th Luftwaffe Field Division)
