Overview:

On the morning of the 20th, the 94th Reconnaissance Troop and the Divisional Headquarters Defense Platoon, which had requested action, assembled at the crossroads in Wies before heading toward Schloss Thorn. This force, organized in two platoons, was supported by two light and two medium tanks. Arrangements had been made for a five-minute artillery barrage to facilitate the attack. At 0700, the advance started, but was immediately hit by enemy mortar and artillery fire. Furthermore, surrounding Thorn were thousands of anti-personnel mines which disabled one tank.
Attacker: American (94th Reconnaissance Troop | Division Headquarters | 94th Infantry Division | 10th Armored Division)
Defender: German (Grenadier Regiment 841, Volksgrenadier Division 256 | Panzerjaeger Abteilung 256)

Round 1

Enric did not make good use of the smoke to cover the American advance and I could break some of his units. Then I revelead the gun to try a hit on the light tanks, failing, but he then spent some time attacking my gun instead of focusing on the victory building. When he finally managed to advance in the right axis I slowly retreated and finally he was short of turns to enter the victory building. As a note, his light mortar did a wonderful job with WP and HE, including a CH.
2015-10-04(A) Martí Cabré vs Solo DrawVery close game. The Panzerfausts and the JgPz took out all the American vehicles, but thanks to tons of smoke the infantry got to the target building ready for the CC. A lucky 1,2 def fire broke an assaulting stack making it impossible to kill both defender hexes.
2014-04-12(D) Fred Ingram vs Wes Vaughan American winASL Open 2014

Was a very close game. Lost in the last fire phase when a Stuart got a CH on my 2nd level units (8FP-3 attack). I had a hero, a good order 4-6-8, and 2 broken squads. Of course, the good order unit took the CH by random selection and broke - giving the win to the Americans
