Overview:
On the day that Operation MARKET-GARDEN officially ended, the 7th Somerset Light Infantry was ordered to capture the crossroads in the center of Elst. Supported by a troop of tanks, the Somersets jumped off at 1000 hours on either side of the main street of Elst, moving towards the Nijmegen-Arnhem Highway through the dense town with its houses and small orchards. Major Knaust, however, was not yet ready to give up the town.Attacker: British (7th Somerset Light Infantry, 214th Brigade, 43rd Wessex Division)

The smoke of the OBA helped a lot in the first turns of play. Ferocious CC at turn 6 gave a decisive advantage for the British. The end of the game was decided in the last CC... and as usual in this kind of situation (i.e. the issue of the game is decided on the last DR), I lost ! | ||
