Overview:
OPERATION CITADEL was coming to an end; the Soviet 9th Tank Corps was committed to counterattack the 4th Panzer Division. Colonel I.E. Galushko's 95th Tank Brigade was ordered to seize the railroad station at Stantsiya Maloarkhangelsk. Senior Lt. Ivan Shevtsov's mission was to coordinate his attack with the 95th Motorized Rifle Battalion and clear the Germans from the village.
