Took this on the Japanese Turn 1. Ray made the rookie mistake of not having someone in the instant win building and I was able to punch through his lines at the cost of 50% of my infantry with a banzai to advance into the building.

2023-08-23(D) Jobbo Fett vs xs-bombing Chinese winA mindgame existed between the two of us before the first dice were even rolled. The Japanese opted for a slow, cautious advance in comparison to banzai'ing the objective building, it being deemed too risky with all the open roads and negative modifiers. The defensive fire didn't initially amount to anything, with morale checks easily passed by the attackers. Things took a turn for the worse as the defenders put down as much firepower as possible, and the smaller Gun getting a KIA. CC proved deadly for both sides, but it took far more wind out of the Japanese sails. By Turn 3, multiple banzais were used to try and lock down defending troops and force others into the victory building, both sides died, and the Japanese were then left with 2 squads and 2 tankettes, and we called the game then and there. Interesting, though expectedly it can be a dicey game immediately. Fast to setup and has replay appeal.
