2024-11-15 | (D) Ian Morris | vs | Alex Ashton | | Polish win | | Both of us wanted the Germans, I lost the die roll, so got the balance - an improved leader. I set up an MMG on the left to cover the open ground, another in the centre, and two half-squads with two HMG and the 9-1 leader in a hidden pillbox on the hill edge, connected by trenches to the other pillbox in the woods hex between hill and village. among the dummies up front, I had a couple of real squads. Alex came on strong on his right and right-centre, but moved two squads and a leader on his left into my boresighted hex behind the hedge, where a 12-3 shot scored a 2KIA, killing everybody when his broken squad rolled a 12 on the LLMC. In my turn, I used the trenches to relocate the HMGs into the rear building hex. His right flank had suffered some brokies, which routed to his 9-1. He came in for CC on what he thought were dummies, only for my squad to ambush and exfiltrate to put me in position to CC the brokies, which I ambushed but gacked the roll, with Alex's 9-1 scoring snakes to reduce my squad. Hey-ho, best-laid plans, etc... Alex continued to work the right flank and centre, but at the end of the game only a 2-4-7 could reach the rear building for a possible 1:4 CC, and was smeared by a 24-3 shot before being able to. |
2024-11-15 | (D) David Ramsey | vs | Tony Gibson | | Polish win | 3 hrs | Good shooting from the Poles left the Germans with not enough for the final push against the buildings. |
2024-11-14 | (D) Andy Bagley | vs | Steve Cook | | German win | | Apparently I'd played this before a long time back, but must confess to having no recollection of this.
I set my pillboxes with HMGs in M13 (obvious) and O19, the idea being to funnel his attack into the centre, where I thought I could hold him. However, I gave my guys in O19 an escape route with a trench in P19, and this was a mistake - one that might have cost me the game (it should have been in P20) - because he hit O19 when I skulked there with a LOS I hadn't seen and broke my units. This allowed the Germans to advanced virtually unopposed and swarm my left flank. The result was never really in doubt after that, although it still took them until the last turn to capture the victory buildings. |
2024-11-14 | (D) Paul Legg | vs | Ian Ainsworth | | German win | | Bounding Fire Tournament - Main Round 1 |
2024-04-22 | (D) Jobbo Fett | vs | JobboFett | | German win | | A fun scenario that forces some very tough decisions for the Polish defenders. Some unlucky rolls at the mid-point allowed for the Germans to advance up to the objective buildings and the Polish troops simply weren't able to recover and through the invaders out. Tense and tight. |
2024-04-09 | (D) David Garvin | vs | Robert Wilson | | German win
2023-11-19 | (A) Dave Mareske | vs | Craig Renier | | German win | | Slow and steady wins this race. Best if the Germans don't try to do too much all at once. Germans passed a bunch of morale checks on turn 5 which put them in a great position for Defensive Fire, breaking the Poles and winning the day. Finding the right places for the Pillboxes was big topic of conversation at the end of the game. |
2023-10-09 | (A) Doba Serge | vs | Clément B | | Polish win
2023-09-19 | (D) Pascal Boileau | vs | Lionel Colin | | Polish win | | A good scenario despite my shameless luck during the second half of the game. Everything worked for me and nothing for Lionel and of course he fell short to realize the victory conditions in the last turn...
Thanks to him and for keeping its good mood until the end of the game. |
2023-03-25 | (D) Shaun Andrews | vs | Peter Palmer | | Polish win
2023-03-19 | (D) Steven Cummings | vs | Tim Osborne | | Polish win
2023-03-14 | (D) Mark Thompson | vs | Germans (Steve Boro) | | Polish win | | The German attack on the right was slowed by a MMG on the hill and their thrust in the center was rebuffed by HMG & MMG fire from a bunker at the chokepoint just north of the pond. The Germans were able to flank the Poles on the right after the MMG crew broke, but could not get past the Poles reverse slope defense anchored in the victory buildings. The Germans then shifted the attack to Poles' left flank - and made some progress - but ultimately did not have enough strength or time to take the victory buildings and conceded in German Player Turn 6. |
2023-03-09 | (D) Craig Renier | vs | Jim Vasiliou | | German win | | The Germans began their thrust on the Polish left flank. The Poles laid down fire lanes blocking that line of approach and broke two German stacks. The Germans rallied the very next turn and shifted their attack to the center. Two Polish MMCs, one with an MMG and one with an HMG broke in the center. The Poles attempted to withdraw and bolster the defense, but the tidal wave of German units washed over the terrain. The Poles kept taking losses while falling back while the Germans did not suffer any permanent loss. The Poles were able to maintain a level of defense, but on the final turn they were sufficiently surrounded so when they broke, they had no where to rout. |
2023-02-27 | (A) David Garvin | vs | Brent Kerr | | Polish win | | Though this was called early, Brent's defences were enough to slow me up. A series of poor morale checks (and a casualty morale check) left me with not enough to force the issue. |
2022-11-11 | (D) nathan wegener | vs | Tracey Love | | Polish win | | NTX Shootout. Broke stack of 3 squads w first shot. Rest of attack did not go much better. Had some good attack rolls. Difficult for attacker to make it thru the chokepoints if well defened |
2022-02-25 | (D) Larry Rohlfing | vs | Gerard Unterreiner | | Polish win
2020-10-08 | (D) John Garlic | vs | Jeremy Busby | | German win | | [Imported from ROAR] |
2020-06-30 | (D) patrick palma | vs | Jake Smith | | Polish win
2020-06-03 | (D) Will Willow | vs | K. Mioduski | | Polish win | | VASL |
2020-05-01 | (D) Rami Saarinen | vs | TL | | Polish win | | After a very poor initial setup the Polish were able to retake two of the buildings thanks to decent pillbox placement and few lucky dice here and there. Good scenario. |
2019-11-18 | (A) O Ramaille | vs | Phil HIP | | Polish win | | Slowed by the woods and HMG fire, the Germans were successfully delayed by the Polish troops. Despite the heavy German fire, the Polish defenders sacrificed themselves to prevent the Germans to enter the buildings. At last, a German squad advanced into CC in a building, but was unable to get control. A full Polish victory will all buildings controlled but less than a quarter of GO units. |
2019-09-11 | (D) O Ramaille | vs | Phil HIP | | German win | | The Polish defense was too scattered to efficiently slow or prevent the German advance towards his objectives. Besides, Polish fire was awfully bad and did not help in any way. |
2019-05-12 | (A) patrick palma | vs | Fabio Mazzucchelli | | German win
2019-02-09 | (A) Richard Jenulis | vs | Joe Vennarucci | | German win | | NWASL Championship 2019. Joe played a very tight game. Came down to last turn. |
2018-12-29 | (A) B S | vs | David Garvin | | Polish win
2018-12-29 | (D) David Garvin | vs | Brian Scully | | Polish win | | Came to the very end. I defended. I counter attacked. I won! :) |
2018-12-02 | (D) Allen Evenson | vs | Luis Del Castillo | | Polish win
2018-11-16 | (D) Alan Krause | vs | Steve Bond | | German win
2018-04-27 | (D) Stephen dedier | vs | Holt, Jim | | German win | | This is a nice compact little scenario. The Polish MG's are supposed to make up for the massively superior German numbers.
With this board the Germans can maneouver pretty freely without taking down X shots but can't necessarily move very quickly.
Unfortunately the dice gods were just not with me. It started with a 3MC against my guys in the first pillbox and just wend downhill from there. I actually didn't cause a single broken unit with any of the 4 MG's (more than 1 16 up 1 or 2 and the like). Still managed to fight valiantly to the last turn. I think it probably could have been over in turn 5 if my opponent had been willing to fire into the melee with a lot of firepower.
Never the less it was a fun one that I would play again and i think would be totally different game.

2017-09-17 | (A) David Garvin | vs | Eric Groo | | Polish win | | Wow. What a match! Eric was the defending Poles, and threw caution to the wind and attacked into my advancing Germans. The result was mayhem. In the end, we both took horrific casualties. Key moments of the game include my rolling his SAN in three consecutive rolls. It also includes his Sniper nailing my concealed 7-0s who were lugging the DCs for the greater glory of Germany. Random selection was naturally a Yahtzee and ended up wounding one. The second activation roll also wounded the other. One wound was fatal. What a match!
In the end, I was a day late and a dollar short as the attacking Germans. Great Match!

2017-08-03 | (D) walter mcwilliams | vs | Tom Kerney | | Polish win | | Tom was crunched for time by a stubborn polish defense and advanced a full stack of 3-squads into point blank range of a HIP bunker/HMG. In PFPh I broke or KIA all, and a half squad moved up to cut the rout path and capture the remaining. |
2017-07-02 | (A) Tom Kearney | vs | Walt McWilliams | | Polish win | | I made good progress until adjacent to the objective. There I ran into a buzz saw. My surviving troops fell back, rallied, and tried again, but met with the same results. |

2016-04-13 | (A) Eric Partizan Eric | vs | | | Polish win
2016-03-28 | (D) Dave Mareske | vs | Mark Fischer | | Polish win | | Even though I kept breaking the Polish MGs the German advance was slowed enough that they could not get the buildings. Don't forget the bore sight, even though those pesky Germans never entered my bore sight hexes! |
2016-03-26 | (A) Gordon Jupp | vs | Derek Cox | | Polish win | | First game of our usual double header meeting and I didn't prep properly and paid the price! Walked straight into the bore sighted hex of a Polish HMG in a bunker and found the other the hard way too!Derek played a really good defence, allied with hot dice and my troops unable to shoot or pass a morale test! Conceded at the end of my turn 5...good game though - German has to be prepared for causalities and pass PMC 😊
