Overview:

The island of Timor was crucial to Japanese southern expansion plans. In the western half of Timor, the main Allied defenses around the town of Koepang and Penfui airfield consisted primarily of Australian troops of Sparrow force. Japanese Naval paratroopers landed behind Australian lines in an attempt to seize the airfield. They were met by rear echelon units from the 2/40th Battalion at the village of Babau. A fierce fight erupted at the Timorese village and fortunes for both sides ebbed and flowed over the day. Despite the Australians controlling Babau at day's end, they pulled back to a neighboring village for the night. However, the Aussies had stopped the Japanese from achieving their goal of seizing the airfield.
Attacker: Japanese (1 Company, Yokosuka 3rd Special Naval Landing Force, Eastern Detachment)

2024-11-23(A) David Yllanes vs Juanjo Martínez Japanese win10 hrsVery intense and enjoyable scenario. The later turns, once reinforcements have built up and you have banzai charges and hand-to-hand combat all over the map, are a bloodbath. The situation looked grim for my Japanese most of the game, I was applying a lot of pressure without getting points and step-reducing all of my units it seemed. It was crucial to save some points to make a big purchase of reinforcements for turn 6 (when their entry area is closer to the target). This group mounted a big banzai charge on turn 7 that made the Australian position collapse.
2024-07-28(A) Diane Spangler vs Lawrence SpanglerA Australian win
2024-07-21(A) nathan wegener vs Wes Vaughn Australian winThis didn't live up to the hype for me. The buying system is mostly about timing reinforcements that don't have a lot of variation. Our game had lots of dead Japanese. Opponent played well and Brits seemed overwhelming - we agreed it seems to favor Brits.
2024-03-04(A) David Ramsey vs Martin Barker Australian winNice scenario with the purchase options throughout. My Japanese couldn't get a foothold against the ever-increasing strength of the Australians who pulled back well.
2024-02-17(A) Tuomo Lukkari vs Victor Rosso Australian win[Imported from ROAR]
