Overview:

The Slovakian 1st Infantry Division continued to push north until it linked up with German forces, and then continued northeast. Polish resistance was not significant until the Slovak penetration threatened the eastward withdrawal of forces. The Poles started battling for the hills near Zabrzez, though the Slovakian 3rd Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment was able to occupy Zabrzez itself. In the afternoon of 5 September, a local civilian silently led Polish forces up close to the Slovak positions. The Polish attack surprised the Slovaks and the battle quickly turned to bayonets.

2022-03-02(D) Simon Staniforth vs Slovakian winDon’t fail your PMC as the Slovaks early as pretty much all your initial OB is eliminated. The counter attacking reinforcements are a strong force in this context of this fight and in out playing we’re able to retake sufficient stone buildings for the win. Poles had lost a couple of squad more than they would have liked but that’s the way it can go with HtH CC

2018-05-14(D) Dave Mareske vs Mark Fischer Slovakian winA close fight which came down to the last turn, the Slovak MMG in the steeple stayed active the whole game.

2017-10-01(D) Tom Kearney vs Walt McWilliams Slovakian winPoland in Flames linked.
2017-09-09(D) Alan Krause vs Sebastiano Caltabiano Slovakian winTough fought game with a lot of close combat at the end that secured the victory.
2017-01-10(A) walter mcwilliams vs Tom Kearney Slovakian win I had this scenario well in hand until just after the midway point when a big sniper took out a leader, and I boxcared the LLMC, then failed three NMC all on the same flank. Which Tom then rolled up for the win a turn or so later.

2016-06-11(D) Rich Weiley vs Gordon McClelland Slovakian winSimilar game to that described below. Fortunes really swung on the outcome of the close combats. Just too many Slovaks in the end.
2016-06-11(D) Peter Palmer vs Murray McCloskey Polish win[Imported from ROAR]
2016-03-26(D) Gordon Jupp vs Derek Cox Slovakian win2nd game of the day and another interesting situation...The initial Slovak force is going to be pretty much anhialated and it is just a question of how much it can take with it and or hold on! Derek did a pretty good job and at the start of my turn 2 I had just 1 and a half squads left...crucially tho the Poles had lost a couple of squads and had several broken and were not properly organised to defend their gains. I attacked from 2 directions with my reinforcements and made significant gains such that Derek conceded on turn 4.
(A) Jim Thompson vs Vince Lewonski Slovakian win[Imported from ROAR]
