Overview:

As the Polish Campaign entered its second week, the SS troops found their first real test in battel difficult at the industrial town of Pabianice. The SS infantry men charged into the town under heavy fire by a determined foe, and on their second attempt reached the industrial center. The Poles then spring out from cellars and buildings and the bloody battle became hand to hand. The SS troops were now in desperate straits and Wehrmacht forces launched a relieving attack.

2023-10-09(A) John Garlic vs Jeremy Busby Polish win[Imported from ROAR]
2021-01-04(D) Will Willow vs K. Mioduski Polish winGacked my set up. Beware there is errata for the scenario.
2020-01-11(D) Jeff B vs Steve Etzelmueller German (SS) winThis scenario poses interesting tactical decisions for both sides from the get-go. Do the Poles try to squeeze the trapped Germans, or do they spread out to try and stop the reinforcing Germans? Worried about the former. I took advantage of the HIP Walking Wounded, loaded them up with SWs they would not be able to move far with, supplying them my best leaders, and placing them as far west as I could. This paid dividends as I sprung my trap on the Poles Turn 1, eliminating their 9-2 and capturing a MMG. My screening force in the east kept the Poles from recklessly charging, while my large group of dummies in the south did likewise. Knowing both were vital for German survival, my reinforcements raced for both the high ground and the northwest woods. The Poles then face another tough decision. Do they pour everything they have into holding out in the woods as long as possible, or do they move in force on the trapped Germans? I think it worked to my advantage that they chose to do a relatively equal distribution of the two. On my turn, having handed off those heavy SWs to others, I started to race a few of my WW to the goal line, took out the Polish ART crew/3 squads/9-1, and positioned my first kill stack in the upper levels of 46J6. Turn 3 saw me completely clean up the Poles who were now sandwiched between me, just in time to meet the heavy Polish reinforcements. But, by this time, the Germans were in full control of the battlefield and the CVP count and the Poles called it a day during German Turn 5. A really nice dynamic scenario.
2018-08-05(D) Tom Kearney vs Walt McWilliams German (SS) winThe Germans struggled at times but eventually wore down the Polish. This game took two sittings to finish due to size and limited time to play.
