Overview:

The new 6th Guards Mechanized Corps became part of the 4th Tank Army under General Lieutenant V.M. Badanov. Its first action was at Orel, the counterattack (Operation Kutuzov) on the northern side of the Kursk bulge after the German defeat at the Battle of Kursk proper. John Erickson writes that at 1100 on 26 July, two of Badanov's corps (11th Tank and 6th Guards Mechanised) put in a ragged attack towards Bolkhov. For the next few hours, under the very gaze of Bagramyan [Commander of 11th Guards Army, whose sector 4th Tank was attacking through] and Badanov, both corps were heavily battered by the concealed German tanks and assault guns.' . . . Squad Bleeder is a miniature design-your-own kit, with the basic situation sketched out and each side given 100 purchase points and a menu of things to buy. Options range from infantry, armor, and ordnance, to air support, artillery, and fortifications. Victory is determined by inflicting casualties and advancing into enemy territory, so it's likely both sides will be on the attack. A die roll process determines the board configuration, and then both sides choose their forces in secret.

2025-03-29(A) fabrizio da pra vs Andrea Pagni Russian winI got a open map as the Russian and Germans were in a nice village.
I decided to put on the map only some guns and buy a big armored force to enter from off map with elite riders.
The German was very frightened by the possible 100L gun and was passive in the first and second turn.
We both had FB and I shocked a Tiger tank, that later recovered and won after some turns the dogfight.
My big tank force entered on the side of the map and thanks to many hindrances and some poor rolling by the german was able to establish a big presence in his map with only 1 tank lost.
After losing a critical gun to intensive fire and with me commander of the sky my opponent conceded.
2016-06-24(A) Russell Dewhurst vs Gordon Russian win
2015-05-15(A) David Garvin vs Robert Loper German winThis was my first-ever Full Rules ASL match. A bit steep in the learning process but some key memories for me:
Schooled on the use of Close Air Support
I nailed his Ferdinand with an amazing AT Gun shot
I did everything right to get the next one; however, his Ferdinand hit my one T 34/85, got rate, pivoted and fired on the other T 34/85 and got a crit on it. LOL
2013-12-07(A) Ian Morris vs Steve Hunt Russian win
2013-04-27(D) nathan wegener vs Larry Zoet German winRushed forward and got good terrain - opponent couldn't root me out.
