Overview:

"The Damned" - The fate of Berlin was sealed... encircled by massive pincers of the Red Army. Frantic orders issued forth from Wehrmacht H.Q. for all units in the area to break through to the besieged capitol. The largest such unit was the German 9th Army, itself encircled in the Halbe Pocket, southeast of the city, and commanded by General Theodor Busse. The 9th Army was, in fact, a shadow of its former self, cobbled together from the shattered remnants of dozens of Army, Luftwaffe and Waffen-SS Divisions. Critically short on armor and fuel, Busse quickly determined that his army lacked the power to break the Soviet ring. Given permission by OKW to plan his own attack, Busse gave orders to move west to link up with General Wenck’s 12th Army, engaged with the Americans on the western bank of the Elbe River.

2018-01-01(A) B S vs Jim Russian winA fun scenario with lots of toys, but unbalanced in favor of the Russians...very difficult for the Germans.
2017-11-14(D) Andy Beaton vs Spencer Armstrong Russian winGermans have to rush to get out in 5 turns with slow roads and terrain, which means they have to take risks. I was mathematically done by the end of Russian turn 3, even with part points for the ones who didn't make it. Might be a slight whiff of the canine with this one.
2017-10-11(D) Paolo Cariolato vs Federico Corso Russian winWe played it reversing the roles. The 9-2 AL confirmed his deadly role killing both panthers in this game as well. I throwed the towel too early because I forgot about the correct VC conditions. You don't actually need to EXIT all your stuff in order to snotch a win, just having it on board 59 will give you half of their EVP. And you have a lot of them.
