Overview:

For use with Critical Hit’s recent French Algeria project. . . A band of rebels had been signaled in the area of Djebel Bou-Torkma and the companies of the 14th RPC were dispatched to hunt it. 1st Coy was progressing towards the south in the very dry landscape with support by two M8 armored cars when the fellaghas were spotted. On the next crest line, opposition was a bit heavier with support from a machine gun. Under the 4th Coy covering fire, the 1st Coy continued its advance to the base of the slopes just as two M24 Chaffee arrived on the scene. When the sections were at mid-slope, the M24s mistakenly opened fire on the French paratroopers, forcing them to halt. Luckily no serious losses were taken from the fire that only stopped after the 3rd section leader reached an M24, climbed the turret and survived being fired at by the second one.
