Overview:
Ahead of the panzers of Kampfgruppe Raus, a Brandenburger unit in captured trucks drove on the Luga bridges. The Russian guards, caught unawares, were winkled out, taken on the fly by Brandenburger soldiers leaping from the beds of their captured transport. Meanwhile, other Germans of the attacking Brandenburgers fell upon the mostly slumbering village garrison. Most of them were killed, and the survivors driven into the woods. The dazed Russians were not able to effect a counterattack, failed to recapture the bridges, and the German commandos turned their prize, the crossings, over to their commander Raus in the morning.Attacker: German (Brandenburger Lehr Regiment)
