Overview:

As the leading elements of Panzer-Division 7 moved through the valley east of Chabrehea at 1800 on 10 May, they encountered two platoons of Belgian Chasseurs d'Ardennais dug in on the slopes in front of the town. The Germans hastily deployed the company and began to move up the slopes. A short, sharp action proved the Belgians were too strong. The Germans stopped and prepared for another assault at dawn.
Attacker: German (Schützen-Brigade 7 and schwere Kompanie, Kradschützen-Bataillon 7, Panzer-Division 7)
Defender: Belgian (Chasseurs d'Ardennais)

2021-06-27(A) Rob MacGinley vs Joe Marran Belgian winI do like the three things that make this game unique
(a) Nice to attack from two directions - I failed to clear the hill but I got very close
(b) use of motorcycles a like they are meant to be used - quick and flexible deployment to bring pressure on the enemy
(c) convoy stuff

Really when the AT ditch takes out the cross roads out - its time to take the hills - the combined arms attack on one side and motorcycle attack on the other makes a really cool game - shame I lost due to dead trucks but I did get a truck OVR and broke a man - way cool
2020-11-12(A) Eric Topp vs John Fedoriw German winIn this scenario, the Germans are trying to exit two convoys of trucks. Vehicles in convoy move slowly (at least 2 MP on road) until they see a Known enemy unit at which point they can leave the convoy.

My opponent put the RB in 5aO5 close to the German entry area. The Belgian defenders on the hill did not have LOS to 5aP5 so the Germans were able to remove the RB without taking fire.

By turn 5, the German motorcycle troops were putting pressure on the Belgian rear. Importantly, the north road was clear. When the trench line on the top of hill 656 fell, the Belgians had no way of stopping the trucks.

Both my opponent and I feel that a better spot for the RB is further west e.g. 5aD10. If the Belgians use a reverse slopes setup with their trenches they should be able to withstand the German FP long enough to defend the village. Also, the trucks will have to stay in convoy longer.
2020-08-09(A) Simon Staniforth vs German win
2020-06-13(D) Ric Hammond vs Jim Aikens German win
2020-03-26(A) Tom Kearney vs Alan Saltzman German winThe Belgians defended along the eastern edge with a few elements in the village. The Germans quickly overran the forward Belgian positions and broke through in two places. Finding himself in an untenable position with his front pierced and German motorcyclist rampaging in the rear the Belgians surrendered.
