Overview:

As more and more Germans crossed the river near Bouvignes, they pushed hard against the scattered French troops who were falling back into the northern reentrant -- the gap between the cliffs. Fighting escalated as the gap narrowed, and soon the Germans were calling for help.
Attacker: German (Schützen-Regiment 6 and Panzer-Regiment 25, Panzer-Division 7)
Defender: French (2ème Bataillon, 66ème Régiment d'Infanterie, 18ème Division d'Infanterie with 1ère Division Légere de Cavalerie)

2025-02-23(A) Kevin Duval vs Dwayne DuvalA French winGermans finally made it into the buildings on Turn 10 only to be eliminated with French last-ditch effort counter attack.
2021-10-16(D) Rich Weiley vs Dave Wallace French winPlayed over the last month on VASL. My defence wasn't optimum. Put the HMG and the 37* infantry gun in poor positions where they were easily overwhelmed by the attackers. Despite this it was difficult for the Germans to force there way up the northern re-entrant. The key moment actually came in turn 5 when the French OBA immobilized two German tanks in the re-entrant in a position where they could play no further part in the battle. This proved crucial in the final turns as combined with the depredations of the French ATG, armoured car and an unfortunate ESB roll, the Germans were left with no armoured support for the final assault on the farm. So with the attacker forced to charge over open ground and my average IFT roll coming out at 6.76 in our final session, the writing was on the wall and while he could get troops up to challenge for the forward two stone buildings the rear most wooden building remained just out of reach.
2020-08-15(D) rene cote vs mrosberg French winLots of turns (8), but Germans have so much ground to cover in restricted terrain that just making it to the farm with one turn to spare to wrestle control is a tall order. As French, I maximized my defense at the choke points to slow down the onslaught just enough.
2020-04-02(A) Indy Lagu vs Rob Oler French winLost as the Germans. Advancing through the gully against Rob's defence was like moving in mud.

The roadblock took a long time to clear. Germans got to the finish line, but not in time. One more turn...
