Overview:

The 153rd Brigade was reinforced with the 7th Battalion, The Black Watch from the 154th Brigade, which would advance through the 1st Gordons and capture the rest of the Steelworks. Divisional engineers would follow up and destroy the smokestacks. The attach started well for the 5th Black Wacth. "A" Company managed to capture a German anti-tank gun; "B" Company quickly advanced through the lines of "A" Company to their first objective, the crossroads, and took it. "C" Company followed up and advanced into the outskirts of the Steelworks, securing the battalion's first objective. As the sun rose, thing were looking good for the Highlanders.
Attacker: British (Elements of 5th Battalion, The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment) 153rd Brigade)

2021-03-13(D) Dan Best vs Kermit Mullins British win
2021-03-13(A) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best British winInteresting scenario and small enough to get your feet wet with the Steel Works. The map is excellent and the provided counters are first rate. My British were able to make good progress on Turns 1 and 2. I found some mines and got stuck there, but then also found the first pillbox as well as the German 8-1. I managed to win both close combats and from there, my British were able to dominate the battlefield and eliminate the second pillbox, AT Gun and remaining Germans in Close Combat. It's rare for me to so well in close combat, but that made all the difference. I think this scenario is can be very hard on the Germans.
