Overview:

The 2nd Battalion, 319th Infantry Regiment with help from Company A, 610th Tank Destroyer Battalion attacked the town of Heiderscheid in the early morning hours of December 23rd. By 1110 the town was cleared. The TDs and Battalion AT guns were rushed southwest of town to dispatch an enemy armored column, leaving the infantry to prepare the town's defense. At 1215 they were struck by a counterattack of infantry and tanks from the north and east. The town was far from secure.

2021-09-17(D) Dan Best vs Kermit Mullins German win
2021-09-17(A) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best German winThis is a new design from Tony D'Andrea. Dan and I gave it a playing and it really played out well. A nice, close, tight firefight with good combined arms action. My Germans struggled due to bad rolls, but slowly got into the village. The Wolverines went down a MKIV and to the Panther. Two MKIV's were recalled and another was destroyed by a bazooka. The Germans won in the very last CC. That is exactly the kind of battle you hope for. Highly recommend this scennario.
