2024-11-13(D) Jeff Waldon vs Jeff Roloff Russian winVASL
2022-04-14(A) Paolo Cariolato vs Federico Corso Russian winI strongly recommend to start your Proko games from this scenario.
You really get to know and appreciate the nuances of this module.

Simple and straight VC, fixed entry point for german units.
It start as an infantry affair with some supporting thin skinned AFV, after some turns reinforcements come in the form of armored forces and things start to get serious.
The Russian are dug in and the SS troopers must eradicate them, a thing that is more easily said than done. You will appreciate the complete lack of cover and TEM for the attacking Germans. I really appreciate how the hillock rules as modified in this module completely change the LOS.
In this particular game I probably get the wrong strategy, I sent 7 squad with two leader in the center covered by all AFV to get the VC point building in the middle and the other 10 squad towards the other VC, My plan was to crush enemy opposition in the village and getting the nearer I could before the reinforcing AFV would come in. All the while the starting two squad were in charge of keeping the door open for my armored reinforcements.
The door was kept open and I got the VC building in the center. Unfortunately I was bleeded in the village battle and the Russian stopped me cold in the southern half even before the AFV arrival.
Having lost 40% of my infantry and nowhere near the second VC nor hoping to get it before scenario end I throw the towel.
Probably the best strategy in my case would have been to ignore the village TEM and run for both the VC using the grain the the middle as cover, you get some nasty FL to deal with but it can be done.

As said I really liked the flavor of Proko rules and the puzzle the German has to solve in order to get pass the grain plain and get to the VC buildings.

Both of us feeling is that the scenario is pro-russian but it has a lot of options for the defender. So even here it depends. Surely the best player should get the attacking Germans because you'll need all your tricks in order to move your troopers towards the VC. As Federico said an inexperienced attacker will be crushed on turn 1.
