Overview:

As fighting continued along the Abucay Line, the Japanese decided to make an amphibious landing on the east coast of Bataan. The hope that such a move-used successfully against the British at Malaya-would force the American-Filipino forces to abandon their current positions. The Americans of the Service Command, responsible for beach defense, had just two weeks to prepare and had at their disposal only constabulary, grounder airmen, and naval personnel with which to repel attacks. The Japanese were hardly better prepared, lacking both the time for preparation and the maps necessary for crafting a detailed assault plan. The Japanese landed at Longoskawayan Point, well away from their intended landing spot. The first confirmed sighting of the Japanese force came at 0840 hours. They were then spotted advancing up the slopes of Mt. Pucot, thus gaining complete tactical surprise-but at the cost of their own bewilderment.

2024-01-24(A) Richard Jenulis vs Greg Rodgers American (USMC) winAmericans won the dr and choose to move last. Went to the last CC. The Americans eliminated ALL Japanese infantry.
2023-10-28(D) Rich Weiley vs Dave Wallace American (USMC) winPretty joyless game as the Japanese. Moved second and came on from the south. Struggled to hold the US back in the first two turns and suffered more casualties than I inflicted. Hung on to the last US turn but US numbers were so overwhelming the outcome was never in doubt.
2022-08-27(D) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best American (USMC) winWow...I lost this game right from the very start. I selected to move second and pick the side. I picked poorly. The Americans occupied the victory hexes on Turn 1. My Japanese were then gunned down trying to take the hexes against 24+ factor shots. Good grief...who play tested this scenario and said...yeah this will be fun. It wasn't. Whether you move first or second make sure you are moving from the south and you'll probably win this scenario.
