Overview:
With Kampfgruppe Frank mired in a minefield and bogged down in hand-to-hand fighting, Oberstleutnant Heinz-Werner Frank became concerned that the bridge over the Gniloi Tikich was wired for demolition. However, the objective still stood. He was well aware that it would take too much time to build a new bridge if they were to save the entrapped forces in the Korsun Pocket. While a bridge had been captured the day before at the hamlet of Frankovka, it did not appear heavy enough to carry their Tigers across. Leadership knew that any crossing was going to include this bridge most especially if the needed armor was to be part of the breakout.Attacker: German (Kampfgruppe Frank, Panzer-Division 1)

I had four chances to pass my Task Check...I rolled an 11, a 9, and a 10 before finally making my lost chance. I then rolled snakes for a game winning 7 KIA and no more bridge. | |
