Overview:

During the early stages of the German invasion of Norway, two companies of paratroopers that had landed at Fornebu Airport three hours earlier than planned, loaded on buses with hopes of raiding the Norwegian army headquarters at Hamar and capture King Haakon. But a rag-tag group of reservists answering church bells and volunteers from a local rifle club was organized to block the road seventy miles north of the capital. They felled trees and tipped wagons on the main road and an unpaved bypass not a moment too soon. . .

2025-03-21(D) Chris Larkin vs Yzerdunn German winSurprised to see all the Norwegian wins on this one, 6 Morale with 3 range and they just could not put up a fight against the superior German numbers. German player left the trucks behind and by turn 5 there were only a few squads left that weren't disrupted. Maybe it was just bad rolls, opp was hot and I had bad bad morale checks, but I could not grok a good plan to hold anything.

2020-11-04(D) Jason Nichols vs Rob MacGinley Norwegian winGermans pushed hard down the centre and the Norwegians crumbled, failing MC and disrupting. Norwegian 9-2 leader was killed early and it was a scramble to fall back past the roadblock. Germans cleared the roadblock and moved busses up ready for running the Gauntlet. Norwegian 7-0 leader captured a bus on turn 8 and Germans had last movement phase to exit. Norwegians had three broken squads in position to intercept, if they rallied. Only one squad rallied (6 morale is a bummer) but in German MPh managed a 4 down 2 shot on the German 9-2 leader, squad and half-squad. The DR of 3 sealed the game as it killed the half-squad and broke the leader and squad. Germans then weren't able to exit the required 18 VP. An exciting end to the game.
