Overview:

While the 3rd Battalion, 4th SS Panzergrenadier Regiment attacked elements of the 643rd Tank Destroyer Battalion from the west, elements of the 2nd Battalion attacked the village of Fraiture from the east. The paratroopers of the 325th Glider Infantry Regiment were eating breakfast inside the warm houses of the village of Fraiture when a group of SS panzergrenadiers attacked. The surprised paratroopers did not have time to finish breakfast. The SS panzergrendiers quickly closed in on the paratroopers, taking advantage of unoccupied foxholes.
Attacker: German (SS) (2nd Bataillon, 4th SS Panzergrenadier Regiment, 2nd SS Panzer Division)
Defender: American (D, E and HQ Companies, 2nd Battalion, 325th Glider Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division)

2022-11-04(D) Maurizio Mai vs German (SS) winOne of the worst scenario I have played. Might be because I did not understand the "dynamics", but the Americans cannot move, fire, gain "?", until SS reveals or the third turn. Easy for the Germans to approach concealed, and either fire in the American 2nd Turn DFPh or enter concealed in CC. No chance for the American to fight back. The Germans got an early 2KIA, but even without that, with strong leader, high morale, high firepower, I don't see any chance for the Americans.
2017-02-10(D) Steve Buckley vs David Gillies German (SS) winAt NWASL Tourney. My Americans took too much early punishment, and I could not give enough back against the higher morale of the SS. David schooled me. Only a heroic 9-2 leader gave me a glimmer of hope near the end, but way too little, way too late.
