Overview:

With four bridgeheads across the Irrawaddy River, British and Indian forces were prepared to attack the Japanese 15th Army. The 19th Indian Division attacked from the north, while the 2nd British Division attacked from the east; Resistance from the Japanese was fanatical in an effort to stop the British. The tankers of the 3rd Carabiniers without the Bombay Grenadiers, their usual infantry escort were about to pay the price,
