Overview:

The 3rd Panzer Division’s drive on Mzensk was spearheaded by Kampfgruppe Eberbach. After destroying a large force of T-34 and KV tanks, Eberbach led advance elements on the final bound which would carry them over the bridge across the Susha River and into Mzensk. Ground conditions were so bad that vehicle after vehicle became mired in mud until there was only one Panzer at the spearhead of the attack. . .
Attacker: German (Elements of Kampfgruppe Eberbach, 3rd Panzer Division)

2013-07-30(A) X von Marwitz vs Chris Hofland German winKind of hard to evaluate my particular game because a lot of strange and improbable things happened: MAs on both sides malfing, Snipers killing/wounding leaders on both sides, gusts clearing away a smoke screen, tanks malfing due to mechanical reliability, German ATR penetrating vs. 3 frontal armor, 7x Mortar ROF tear, Russian MMG infantry broke and never recovered before Turn 5, etc. Somehow the string of catastrophes struck both sides. In the end I was able to move off enough HTs, one of them loaded with infantry and the tank. Two HTs were hit, two others were stunned throughout the game. The Russians lost 3 tanks and the remaining one seemed to be manned by an exceptionally inept crew that immobed it when trying to start AND malfed its MA...
