Overview:
Time after time at Dien Bien Phu, the "Bison" of Cpt. Yves Hervouet's tank company would make the difference in the success or failure of a counter-attack. The night of April 3rd at H6 was no exception. A strong Viet Minh attack developed against the eastern flank of H6. Lt. Col. Langlais decided to throw in his reserve. This amounted to a company of the 8th BPC led by Capt. Desmond. Heavily outnumbered, the French made their way up the bare runway and slammed into the southeastern flank of the Viet Minh.Attacker: PAVN (165th Regiment, 312th Division PAVN)
