Overview:

After the first assigned objectives of Operation Veritable had been seized, the 9th Cameronians were to pass through and secure their final first day goal: the Galgensteeg ridge and the village of Frasselt. Meanwhile, the enemy had taken shelter from the unprecedented Allied bombardment in the cellars and houses of Frasselt. By 5:15 P.M., all was ready and Company C, the Cameronian's reserve company, commenced their advance over the 800 yards of open ground separating them from the village.
Attacker: British (Elements of C Company, 9th Cameronians, 15th Scottish Division supported by elements of 1st Squadron, Coldstream Guards and 79th Armoured Division)
