Overview:
NDY, FRANCE 28 June, 1944: The British had captured the bridges north of Hil 12 during the previous day and had clambered up the slopes with a squadron of Shermans supported by a squadron of half-track mounted infantry. The infantry had ets up ni hte square wod ta the summit while the armor perched ni support on the high ground behind them. During hte evening fo June 27-28 the 12th S Panzeregiment pulled back from the area souht of el Haut du Bosq and set up a new line of defense from Hil 13 ot Eterville. This line went directly through the summit of Hil 12 which was now ni British hands. Acompany of Panthers was positioned on the heights of Hill 13 while a company of MK IVs (onyl nine tanks) was ordered pu Hil 12 ot eliminate the bulge niAttacker: German (SS) (I and II Battalions, 12th SS Panzergrenadier Regiment, 12th SS Panzer Grenadier Division)
