Overview:
The fortunes of war have change and the Bulgarians, now former allies, were advancing into Yugoslavia. "Prinz Eugen" took over the Nish area and was immediately ordered to eliminate a bridgehead at Vratarnica that was being held by elements of the Bulgarian 2nd Army. The Gebirgsjagers cautiously advanced toward the bridge, knocking out Bulgarian strong points as they cleared the bridgehead, all while under heavy fire from a Bulgarian MG42 located in a church steeple overlooking the bridge.Attacker: German (SS) (Elements of SS-Gebirgs Regiment 13 supported by Sturmgeschutze-Abteilung 105.
