Overview:

"Mount Akayama" - The Japanese were entrenched on Hill 754, while the Russian positions spread out on several heights to the south, where they installed several MG nests and some anti-tank guns. Captain Tsuji, commander of 6th Company, asked for authorization to launch a night attack on the Soviet positions. The first two heights were captured but the Soviets regrouped on Mount Akayama. . .

2023-12-30(A) Jobbo Fett vs JobboFett Russian winReally feels like this scenario needs a change, whether its overall size of the Japanese force, a change to the recon dr where you have a chance at immediately revealing the objective locations, and/or a reduction to the NVR. It's simply too punishing for the Japanese to get across the terrible terrain once revealed.

It did not help that I lost EVERY Japanese leader on Japanese Turn 2, and that none of the close combats ended in a decisive victory. As a result, my attacking force was bled dry quickly, and could not keep the pressure up after eliminating the Gun.
